Meet Your Seamstress
I’m Nicole, the seamstress behind Fern & Toile. I’ve worked in the bridal alterations industry for over 20 years, gaining experience with all types of gowns, fabrics, and fit challenges while working for other studios and businesses. Fern & Toile is my new independent venture, created so I can offer a friendly, calm space where brides feel comfortable and well looked after.
My approach is practical, honest, and detail-focused. I care about good fit, clean workmanship, and making sure each bride understands the process and feels confident in their dress. Whether your gown needs simple adjustments or more involved changes, I’m here to help you get the result you’re hoping for.
Inside The Studio
Fern & Toile is based in a ground-floor office on a small industrial estate in Hamble, close to the waterfront — perfect if you’d like a quiet stroll or to grab a coffee or lunch nearby before or after your fitting. The studio itself is fairly compact but comfortable, with plenty of space for you and a friend or family member to come along. There’s a little bit of parking directly outside on a first-come, first-served basis, and additional on-street parking around the area. It’s a simple, welcoming space designed to help you feel at ease while we work on your dress.
